Hero School is built.
Over 16 years, Long Way Home turned 550 tons of trash and 35,000 used tires into classrooms and a science lab serving 177 students in a community where 64% of residents live in poverty and 27% in extreme poverty.
Matt Paneitz is the founder of Long Way Home. He is now teaching other communities to replicate the model.
Hero School will be the focus of the next Field Briefing. It will take place on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 10 AM PDT.
