Solutions Journalism for Environmental Educators
Change the conversation
I am preparing an introduction to solutions journalism. This interactive gathering is designed specifically for environmental educators.
Solutions journalism is a solutions-focused, fact-based approach to reporting that creates the conditions for new conversations. When I learned about this form of journalism more than two years ago, I thought that environmental educators might be interested in it. I also thought that freelance environmental educators are well-positioned to report on what's happening in their communities because of their ability to move through them. The 'what if' in my mind has been:
What if environmental educators were also community reporters? What kind of conversations might result from their work?
The more I learned about this form of journalism, the more I wanted to introduce it to others. So much so that I began the process of becoming an accredited solutions journalism trainer.
The 60-minute introduction I will lead is free for participants. In return, I am asking for participant feedback. I am seeking your reflections and insights because participant feedback is one of the requirements I must complete to become an accredited trainer. The journalists evaluating my work want to hear from you (and I do, too). This session will be recorded.
If you would like to learn more about solutions journalism and consider how it might complement your practice, please complete the form below. If interest spans multiple time zones, I will host a second session.
The webinar is planned for late February.
