Put yourself on the map

Help build a database of transformative experiences

Did you know you can add your workshops and events to the EE Forward calendar?

I created this calendar to establish a community calendar. I’ve shared how to add events in the past and decided I would do so again today.

Freelance teachers and others doing environmental literacy work are having a rough time. One way to navigate this is to celebrate what is happening in communities together. The community calendar is a way to find out what is happening, where, and who is leading.

How do I know a community listing of events works? I managed a “Classes Near You” directory during my previous endeavor. It contained information about botany and botanical art workshops happening in most states across the U.S. and many workshops happening worldwide. Back then, people would send me their information, and I would add each event myself. This section grew quickly and earned the attention of many looking for workshops near them.

I have the same audacious goal for the EE Forward Calendar. I envision a calendar featuring the workshops and opportunities within the EE field and in related sectors. This time, I’m leveraging the power of the Lu.ma platform instead of adding each event myself. This platform allows event creators (you) to charge for events. If you host a fee-based event, all earnings go to you. I do not receive any proceeds.

I invite you to share your events on the EE Forward calendar so we can create a space for people doing environmental literacy work in whatever form.

Here is how you can share your event on our community calendar. It’s a two-step process.

Note: When you add events to this calendar, they enter a holding space. I will check for submissions during my office hours, Monday - Friday (3-6 PM Pacific).
